Visa Information for Iran

Visa Information
Required by all except nationals of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey (for a stay not exceeding 3 months). Requirements are subject to change at short notice, and you are advised to contact the appropriate Embassy or Consular Section.

Visas can be extended for up to three months.

A 7 day visa is available on arrival at the following airports.
IKA : Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport
THR : Tehran Mehrabad Airport
MHD : Mashad Airport
SYZ : Shiraz Airport
TBZ : Tabriz Airport
ISF : Isfahan Airport

The visa is only good for visitors from the following countries;
Albania, Germany, Austria, Armenia , Uzbekistan, Spain, Australia, Slovenia, Slovakia, UAE United Arabic emirates, Indonesia , Ukraine, Italy, Ireland , Bahrain, Brazil, Brunei, Belarusian , Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Portugal, Peru, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, China, Denmark, Russia federation, Romania, Japan, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, France, Palestine, Finland, Philippine, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Croatia, south Korea, North Korea, Columbia, Kuwait, Georgia, Lebanon , Luxemburg, Poland, Malaysia, Hungary, Mongolia, Mexico, Norway, new Zealand, Venezuela, Vietnam, Holland Netherlands, India, Yugoslavia, Greece.

If you are crossing overland you will need to arrange a visa in advance. Visas for Iran can take many weeks to get approved.
